Dr. Mustafa Al-Hiti Drug Scientific Bureau is a private enterprise based in Baghdad, Iraq, with a supporting office in Amman, Jordan. It was established in 1997 as a division of Al-Maimana International Trading Group, primarily supplying pharmaceutical drugs and medical supplies to the Iraqi Ministry of Health (public sector).
In January 1998, the Iraqi Government passed Act No. 4, which defined the roles and requirements of a "Drug Scientific Bureau." Clause No. 22 of this Act states that all foreign pharmaceutical and medical supply manufacturers must be represented by a Scientific Bureau in Iraq, owned by an Iraqi pharmacist. Consequently, in June 1999, Dr. Mustafa Al-Hiti’s Drug Scientific Bureau was established.
